Sellfmade is where resellers talk shop: show your finds, ask the people who know, and learn from each other. These rules keep it a place people want to come back to. They apply to everything on Sellfmade: posts, comments, answers, profiles, photos, videos and direct messages.
Be kind
Disagree about the item, not the person. No harassment or bullying, no piling on, no sharing someone's private information, and no encouraging others to target someone.
No hate
No attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation, and no slurs or hateful symbols used to demean.
No nudity or sexual content
Keep it about the goods. Vintage clothing and lingerie can be shown as merchandise, but not worn in a sexual way.
No violence or threats
No threats, no encouraging violence or self-harm, and no graphic violence. Talking about knives, tools or militaria as collectibles is fine; threatening people with them is not.
No scams, counterfeits or stolen goods

Don't sell, trade or promote counterfeit, replica or stolen items, and don't pass off a fake as real.

Don't ask people to pay you directly (Cash App, Zelle, gift cards, wire transfers) to hold or ship an item. Buy and sell through the platforms you list.

Don't run giveaways, “investment” offers or schemes that take people's money or information.
Be yourself
Don't pretend to be another person, a brand, a moderator or Sellfmade. Parody and fan accounts must say so clearly in the name and bio.
No spam
No repetitive posts, copy-paste comments, mass messages, fake engagement or posting the same listing over and over. Talking about where you sell and linking your own listings when it fits the conversation is fine, and welcome.
Keep kids safe
Sellfmade is for adults 18 and over. Nothing that sexualizes, endangers or exploits minors, ever. We remove it, preserve it for law enforcement and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Our child safety standards explain how.
How to report
Tap ⋯ on any post, comment, profile, message or conversation and choose Report. Pick the reason that fits best. Reports are private: the person you report is never told who reported them. After reporting you can also block or mute them.
What happens when a rule is broken
Every report is reviewed by a person on our moderation team. Automated tools help by flagging posts that look like they break these rules, but they never remove anything on their own; a moderator decides. The only exception is known child sexual abuse imagery, which is blocked the moment it's detected.
Depending on what happened, a moderator can:

Remove the content, and tell you which rule it broke

Warn you
•
Suspend your account for 1, 7 or 30 days: you can still browse, but you can't post, comment, like, follow or message

Ban your account for serious or repeated violations
•
Reset a handle or remove a profile photo that breaks these rules
Urgent reports (anything involving a minor, violence or threats) are reviewed within an hour during staffed hours; everything else within 24 hours.
Appeals
If we act on your content or account, you'll get a notice in the app with the rule and an Appeal button. You can appeal each action once, within 30 days. A different moderator looks again when possible, usually within 48 hours. If your account is banned, you can appeal by email to support@sellfmade.com.
